About Me

I graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Physics in 2017. I started in software over hardware because that interested me more and the career prospects seemed better.

I started as a software engineer at Rockwell Automation right after I graduated and stayed there for 8 years, leaving in 2025. I worked on the Allen Bradley line of Logix controllers in both development and test.

The corporate engineering world is hostile to queer people and women generally, and unforgiving especially to anyone who doesn’t present in a gender-typical way. While I was not forced out, I was pushed out. By unethical business practices by management, by a massive and alienating bureaucracy, by the threat of layoffs, and a hostile environment for queer+disabled people. Also, A.I. seems like a nightmare.

I am a craftsperson first and foremost. My code was my art when I was an engineer. As a theater person, my craft is supporting performers.
